I have always had dry nasal passages and dry scalp and even more during winter. I have used a humidifier for my kids when they were younger for colds, but it's been a long time since I have used on myself. I decided to try this one out to see if it would help me.
This portable humidifier uses a a regular water bottle but it cannot be the eco-friendly type. I found that almost all water bottles have the eco-friendly tops. I did find that a regular 20 oz pop bottle fit nicely. I did not have any problems with leaking when attaching the bottle to the humidifier. This product comes with 2 bottle adapters. It would be nice if they provided one adapter that would make it to use the smaller eco friendly tops. Make sure to use straight distilled water, with no minerals added. The mineral will clog up the humidifier. For a portable humidifier it provided a nice amount of cool mist. Placed on my night table I could place in a spot that I think would be effective. This humidifier also has a light, basically like a night light. This would be nice maybe in a kid's room but I have a hard time sleeping with any sort of light. Also when the unit is switched off with the switch the light blinks on and off. I would like an option to turn off the light all together. I received this item in exchange for my honest review.
