I have a pair of UGG slippers that I have had a couple years. The originally came with thick lambs wool insoles, which are not wore out. I wanted to replace the insoles because I really love my slippers. These are advertised as thin premium lambswool insoles and they really are thin, super thin. They are way too thin in my opinion if you are looking for lambswool. I tried to replace my insoles in one of my slippers and it just was not very comfortable.
I ended up putting them on top of my original insoles, they tightened up my slippers but they were stretched out so it helped with that. If you are looking to replace something like Uggs insoles, you'd be better off getting the Ugg brand insoles. These would possibly be in to put in some flats. As far as sizing, they fit pretty true to size. Because they are thin, they definitely can be trimmed. If you are looking for something super thin, these are okay but nothing great.
